PARADISE ROW EXHIBITION OPENING

The Bar Tur award Exhibition opens tonight at Paradise Row gallery! I'm excited to see my work in a new space. I am also really interested to see all the other photographers work - particularly the winner from last year; Briony Campbell. I saw her 'Dad Project' at the Photographers Gallery and loved it. I'm looking forward to seeing how the more personal photographs of last year will interact with this years Olympian theme.

If you want to come see the exhibition it will be on at Paradise Row Gallery, 74a Newman Street, W1T 3DB 21-26th August

Bar Tur Exhibition

My work is featured in an exhibition at Paradise Row Gallery. This will run from 21-25th August. This exhibition will feature work from the 2011 and 2012 Bar Tur Award Winners. This years theme was Olympian. It will be nice to see all the images from the winners ceremony blown up large scale. It was also nice to see the responce they get post London 2012!

Winners Announced

The Winners were announced on the Bar Tur Website today.

Bar Tur Award Ceremony

Last night I won the Trustees Choice Award for my 'Hiding from the Crowd' take on the Olympian theme.

...and my mum thought she deserved the trophy more than me!

Bar Tur Award Shortlisting

I have been invited to attend the Bar Tur Award award giving ceremony on Monday. I'm so excited and trying to work out what to wear as I will have to go straight from work. Not sure what I'm there for yet as it's all a bit hush hush, but have been asked to write a short piece about the work I submitted. The Theme this year was 'Olympian' due to a certain sporting event in London this year. This was my submission...

' Looking down, hiding from the crowd is the one thing the Olympians can’t do; but if I were them it’s what I would want to do.'
